A native of Florida, Alex Shokat began riding horses at the age of 8. He rode as a junior with USEF "R" H/HE/J judge Paddy Downing-Nyegard at her show stable Even Keel Farm in Clearwater, Florida. Upon graduating from the University of Florida in 2004, he decided to pursue his passion for horses full-time as a professional hunter/jumper trainer.
Currently Alex is a USHJA certified freelance hunter/jumper trainer residing in northeast Ohio.
